We have been busy steaming through our backlog of coins in preparation for our first major trade-show of the year, at month-end.
Before this new inventory gets snapped up in Hamilton, however, we wanted to give our local customers an advance preview.
Stop by the store this Saturday January 20, 2018 to view a sample selection of the many hundreds of new Canadian and World coins we’ll be bringing out over the coming weeks, from modern Canadian decimal issues to early pre-Victorian English coinage. The amalgamated product of dozens of collections we’ve purchased since last summer, we’re confident you’ll find something of interest!
Doors open Thursday morning at 10:00 am for our annual Boxing Week Sale! Three days of amazing sales: 28 – 30 December 2017. Thurs & Fri 10am – 7pm, Sat 10am – 5pm.
It’s the biggest event of the year at Alliance Coin & Banknote with discounts on virtually every item in the store. This includes below-cost prices on even the most recent 2017 Royal Canadian Mint products – the only place in the country you’ll find prices like these!
Our November 4th open-house was attended by approximately 50 visitors, who enjoyed with us a fine harp performance by Diana Marie, as well as the culmination of our “Centennial Display” of 1967 coins, medals and related memorabilia.
View this short video retrospective of the event, prepared by Fenton Isaacs.
We look forward to welcoming one and all to our annual Open House:

We are delighted to announce that one of the Royal Canadian Mint’s newest commissioned artists, Graham Spaull, will be joining us in store for a meet-and-greet with our customers on September 23rd.
An accomplished Ottawa-area illustrator and graphic designer, Mr. Spaull’s latest creation, “The Monarch Butterfly”, is being featured on the newly-released “Monarch Migration” Fifty Dollar coin. Containing 3 oz of .999 Silver, this 55mm issue is the largest Butterfly coin ever struck.
Please stop in to meet the artist, and to see his original artwork behind this lovely coin.

Alliance Coin & Banknote showroom
88 Mill Street, Almonte, Ontario
With a limited mintage of just 3,500 pieces, we will have only a small number of examples on hand for those interested in purchasing the coin. The official issue price is $299.95 (tax-exempt); please contact us in advance if you would like a coin reserved for you.
We’re opening our doors on Saturday July 1st, and invite you to pay a visit to Almonte if you’re looking for an alternative to the mass crowds of Parliament Hill. We’ll open from 10am to 4pm.
Weather permitting, our downtown Mill Street will once again be graced end-to-end with a tremendous variety of vintage automobiles. Many of our downtown businesses will be open for the day, and Alliance Coin & Banknote will be offering a coin exchange featuring the new “Canada 150” coin designs.
Heather and I will also be unveiling a special display of 1967 Centennial coins, medals and related memorabilia we have been quietly assembling for the past three years. Finally, we will be putting out new inventory as we begin to see the fruits of our ongoing processing binge.
Why not stop by, and see the nice alternative that Almonte has to offer for this most special of Canada Days! Again, from 10-4 please join us at 88 Mill Street.
